Fuel shortage causes cement plant to halt production03 November 2017, Published under Cement NewsFábrica de Cimento do Kwanza Sul SA ( FCKS) in the Cuanza Sul Province of Angola was forced to stop production on Wednesday after a significant lack of HFO. According to local reports, Edmundo Ferreira, the operational manager of the plant, confirmed that the plant will resume production as soon as the fuel issue is resolved. The plant requires 400,000l of fuel to achieve its daily production capacity of 4200t. |
New Angola plant to begin commercial production by year-end16 September 2013, Published under Cement NewsThe Cuanza Sul cement plant will begin commercial production under the brand name Yeto, the company president, Manuela Vieira Lopes, has said. Final equipment assemply is now underway and the trial phase should begin in October, and production in December, Mr Vieira Lopes told Angop news agency. Earlier, plant manager Tembua Mucazo Roberto had said the plant would begin by producing 4200tpd of clinker which would later be increased to 4500tpd. |
